Past members:

John Frazier was the youngest member of The Saxy Guys. He started playing saxophone at the tender age of 6. John was a Christian Home School student for most of his school years. In his senior year, he was sponsored by Allen Swilley as a private student to tryout for the All District Honor Band in Louisiana. He made the band which also made it possible for him to try out for the All State Honor Band. John not only passed the tryouts for All State Honor Band ( which he is only the second Christian Home School student to do so in Louisiana), he made it on Alto, Tenor AND Baritone saxophones! Of course, he played Baritone for the concert. John also performed in the All City Jazz Band under the direction of Bill Causey Jr.

John has performed with the Shreveport Metropolitan Concert Band on Sopranino, Soprano, Alto and Baritone saxophones, Eb and Bb soprano clarinets. He currently performs at several churches in the North Louisiana area when he is not with the "Guys". John has now gone out on his own in full-time music ministry - Saxy Gospel Ministries. www.SaxyGospelMinistries.com
